| Breaking News | | Monday, July 15th, 2019: Sabatini Slaps 5 Hits 5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is David Sabatini of the Oahu Eruption.
He tore up the Sherden Twins to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Oahu 14-3 win today at Eruption Ballpark.
"Sabatini was a tough out today," the Sherden manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
D. Sabatini hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
Batting .258 to date, Sabatini has 10 home runs and 45 RBIs. | | Monday, July 15th, 2019: Big Day for Caudill! Swats 5 Hits! Who needs batting practice? Mark Caudill of Oahu apparently doesn't as he battered Sherden with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 14-3 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
M. Caudill singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off R. Puñal in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Caudill has compiled a .280 batting average, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 50 runs. The Oahu left fielder stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the Victoria and delivered 5 hits.

O. Madera singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off N. Amaya in the 8th.
