| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 30th, 2019: Rico Echeveste Wins 2019 CL Batting Crown
Aberdeen's Rico Echeveste completed the season in style by winning the Colonial League batting crown. He claimed the coveted title by hitting a solid .375 for the year.
The gifted 26-year-old Iron Men first baseman chalked up 225 hits during the season with 30 home runs, 88 RBIs and 103 runs scored.

 | Tuesday, September 17th, 2019: Iron Men Whitewash Rebels, Cruz Winner
Alfonso Cruz of the Aberdeen Iron Men shut out the San Francisco Rebels 6-0, stopped them on 5 hits and had 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.
After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Alfonso stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
In 2019 Cruz has posted a record of 11 wins and 9 losses with a 3.11 ERA. He has appeared in 26 games and struck out 129 in 176.1 innings.

 | Monday, September 16th, 2019: Toughest Out of the Week Wins CL Award
Robert Neal made quite a splash in the Colonial League this past week. The Aberdeen Iron Men second baseman drilled opposing pitchers for 14 hits in 23 at-bats to roll up a .609 batting average and the Colonial League Player of the Week Award.
He also contributed 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 8 runs scored to his club's offensive attack.
His current batting average stands at .296 and he has chalked up 8 home runs and 50 RBIs.
