Friday, November 8th, 2019: Magana Wins CL 2019 MVP Award
2019 was a very good year for San Francisco Rebels center fielder Alfonso Magana, this year's Colonial League MVP Award recipient.

Magana had a marvelous season, hitting .356 with a .474 on-base percentage. He totaled 175 hits, 26 doubles, 5 triples, 37 home runs, 102 RBIs and scored 107 runs.

For being named the CL's top batter, he will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend.

Thursday, November 7th, 2019: 2019 CL Cy Young Award Announced
Colonial League hitters didn't have a chance in the 2019 season, when the San Francisco manager wrote "Charlie Kulp" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win.

He excelled with a 16-8 mark and 2.21 ERA in 36 starts, tossed 253 innings, fanned 195 and held opposing teams to a .235 average.

For his superb season Kulp was named the CL Cy Young Award winner by the baseball writers.

All of the award-winning players will be honored this weekend at the SBWA annual awards dinner.

Wednesday, November 6th, 2019: Best Rookie Trophy Presented to Barton
Herbert Barton was an outstanding performer this season for San Francisco, earning the Colonial League Rookie of the Year Award.

He went 20-7 on the year in 36 starts, striking out 233 in 247.1 innings while piecing together a 4.04 ERA.

The SION Baseball Writers Association will present his trophy to him at the annual gathering this weekend.
