| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, September 17th, 2019: Ibaņez Will Miss 2 Weeks "It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Pedro Ibaņez after injuring himself in a game against Baltimore. The Border City manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 2 weeks with a strained hamstring muscle." The Outlaws will have to decide over the next day or two whether the shortstop will go on the disabled list.
This season in 139 games Ibaņez is batting .284 with 16 home runs, 72 RBIs and has scored 79 times. |  | Sunday, September 8th, 2019: Injury Forces Bricio Jimenez Out A blow for Bricio Jimenez today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 2 weeks with a finger blister. Jimenez suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Border City Outlaws are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Jimenez's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
Checking out his season stats to date, Jimenez has 22 saves in 52 relief appearances with a 2-5 mark and 2.05 ERA. Teams are batting .273 against him. |  | Saturday, August 31st, 2019: 5-5 Day for Ross! It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-5 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Gene Ross got one today. He scattered hits all over The Bull Ring to pace Bradford to a 12-1 victory over Border City.
The Border City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Ross hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
G. Ross singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off F. Torre in the 8th.
